A mono version of my other frozen Rannoch Moor.

I left the house at 4am for a trek up to Glencoe for sunrise (4hrs 30mins drive!!); A long day, with me eventually arriving home at 9pm later that day.

How stunning the glen was.... I couldn't have picked a better day. I hadn't planned on stopping for sunset, but somehow did! As I was driving through, on the way home, the sky just lit up with colour - I had to stop, which is actually a lot more difficult than you would have thought along this stretch of road.

I've never seen the moor as beautiful as it was - just the right amount of ice, snow and frost!!

The sunset was truly stunning and I loved the way the sun lit up the cracks and cruves in the ice, plus a little light on the top of mountain to the right (Not sure which it is, but I'm guessing some of you will?).

I did the mono conversion on this as I really liked the contrast in the image, which happened to suite the mono very well.
